it rained today.
we went to three museums and only paid for one.
we took the metro to the canadian centre for architecture. the exhibit on display was called speed limit and explored the way speed has interacted with all facets of our life.... it was incredible.
then we walked to the museum of fine arts - which is just free all the time. we saw an exhibit on john lennon and yoko ono i mistakenly thought i wouldn't care very much about. it made me think all day about love.
we ran out of time before we got to the permanent collection.
i also saw picasso, renoir, van gogh and monet for maybe the first time in my life. it was overwhelming.
we went for coffee to bridge the time till we could make the evening hours at the museum of contemporary art - its free on wednesdays. we saw some so so stuff i didn't care about but also some incredible photography. so so vivid. by Robert Polidori. i thought of my brother the whole time.
the we did china town and had dinner.
then we walked to old montreal to see it lit up at night - breath taking.
the circus was on, so we walked the port while listening to the music and cheering.
metro home. coffee at the neighbourhood 24 hour shop.
bed soon. two more days.
