skate or pie

One of the main incentives to move to Edmonton was that I could hang out with my sister and her fam more, especially 2 1/2 year old niece - Clair. Exploring the city with Clair has been great the couple times I've been able to take her out so far. One weekend we did Whyte ave while her parents worked the strathcona farmer's market - she ended up sweet talking herself into a Lynyrd Skynyrd cd at Megatunes. It was a good day.

Clair's been really "into" things lately, she'll tell you about it. "I'm really into bikes" she'll say "and candy." She's also been really into skateboarding, as she told the military boys we ran into at Churchill Square that were doing parkour. So on Good Friday I called 311 and found out where the easiest skatepark to get to was, shoved some snacks in Clair's backpack and hoped on a train north to Clairview.

We took a shortcut and found a prairie dog village
